Secure Behavioral Health Transport Specialist Compensation: Commission-Based (Paid Per Transport) ## Position Summary An established behavioral health transportation provider is seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional individuals to join our team as Secure Behavioral Health Transport Specialists. This position involves the safe, secure transportation of behavioral health and psychiatric patients between hospitals, treatment facilities, crisis centers, and other approved destinations throughout Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, exercises sound judgment, communicates professionally, and treats every patient with dignity and respect. ## Essential Responsibilities 1. Safely transport behavioral health and psychiatric patients between approved facilities and destinations. 2. Maintain patient safety while providing respectful and compassionate care throughout each transport. 3. Monitor patient behavior during transport and respond appropriately to changing situations. 4. Follow all company policies, client requirements, and safety procedures. 5. Complete transport documentation accurately and thoroughly. 6. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. 7. Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality. 8. Communicate professionally with hospitals, treatment facilities, dispatch personnel, and fellow team members. 9. Operate independently or with a transport companion when assigned based on the needs of the transport. ## Minimum Qualifications 1. Must be at least 21 years of age. 2. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. 3. Ability to pass criminal background checks. 4. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. 5. Ability to complete a pre-employment physical. 6. Ability to complete a two-step TB test. 7. Excellent communication and decision-making skills. 8. Ability to remain calm in stressful or unpredictable situations. 9. Professional appearance and demeanor. 10. Reliable transportation to and from work. ## Preferred Experience Preference will be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following: 1. Law Enforcement 2. Corrections 3. Hospital Security 4. Private Security 5. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 6. Fire Service 7. Military 8. Behavioral Health 9. Crisis Intervention 10. Probation or Parole 11. Human Services Relevant experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral health challenges is highly desirable. ## Schedule 1. Full-Time 2. Part-Time 3. Per-Diem Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday opportunities are available based on operational needs. ## Compensation This is a commission-based position with compensation paid per completed transport.
