The H50 nursing unit for Colorectal Surgery is part of Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease Institute, which has been ranked second in the nation. Working with 16 colorectal surgeons, our dedicated and highly engaged nursing staff is focused on providing world-class medical and surgical care to patients with medical problems such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer and genetic bowel disease.
A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00PM-7:30AM or 7:00AM-7:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Collect, document and report patient data and observations.

Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.

Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.

Perform routine laboratory tests.

Educate patients and family members.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program

Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- One year of patient care experience

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $23.25
Maximum hourly: $33.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
