Opportunity Overview
The Traffic Controller plays a critical role in supporting Teradyne's global logistics operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of domestic and international shipments. This position is responsible for coordinating shipment activities, maintaining compliance with import/export requirements, and supporting internal and external customers through effective communication and problem resolution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities effectively, and is committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter, process, and manage daily domestic and international shipping transactions utilizing various logistics systems and interfaces.

Ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of shipment documentation and transportation records.

Properly pack and overpack products to ensure safe and compliant transportation.

Coordinate and schedule freight forwarders to support daily and weekly shipment requirements.

Ensure product deliveries meet internal and external customer expectations and committed timelines.

Trace, track, and report shipment status and delivery performance to stakeholders.

Review orders to verify Incoterms, Named Place, ECCN, HTS classifications, and other trade compliance requirements.

Maintain organized documentation, filing systems, and shipment records in accordance with established procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve shipping, logistics, and customer service issues.

Support operational deadlines through schedule flexibility, including occasional after-hours support as business needs require.

Safely perform material handling activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of two years of experience in a logistics, shipping, distribution, or warehouse environment.

Working knowledge of international shipping requirements, export documentation, and export administration practices.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience reviewing trade compliance information, including product classifications, ECCN, HTS, and Incoterms preferred.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

Strong customer service orientation and commitment to meeting customer requirements.

Effective mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.

Strong keyboarding and data entry skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $41,400-$66,300. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
