Job Description

A client near Colorado Springs, CO is looking for a Information Technology Specialist I to join an existing program. This candidate will primarily function within Special Access Programs (SAP) supporting several different DoD agencies. This role will support day-to-day activities within these Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs. The type of support provided will range from basic tier 1&2 help desk functions, to hardware/software system configuration, upgrades and modifications, or maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in an enterprise, DoD environment, and will be well versed in Information Technology on both network and systems troubleshooting.

Compensation: $46.16/hr. - $50.50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k)-retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Skills and Requirements

Required Clearance/Certifications/Education:

  • Active TS/SCI (CI Poly is preferred)

  • Special Access Program (SAP) eligible

  • Bachelor’s degree & 2 years of experience

  • Associate’s degree & 4 years of experience

  • No Degree & 6 years of experience

  • IAT Level 1 Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ (Sec+)

  • CompTIA Network- Systems Security Certified Practitioner) SSCP

  • DoD 8570 CE Certification Requirements

  • No IAT Level I: DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I  - Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)  - CompTIA Security+ CE

  • Ability to Work All Shift Schedules:

  • Day: 8:00am - 4:00pm

  • Swing: 4:00pm - 12:00am

  • Night: 12:00pm - 8:00am

Must-Haves:

  • 2-5 years of experience with network/system administration or IT infrastructure support.

  • Willing to work all hours of shift work as this is a 24/7 facility.

  • Experience within Information Technology performing basic network, telecom and systems troubleshooting/maintenance

  • Experience in performing Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications

  • Experience maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and documentation Pluses:

  • Experience with .NET

  • Special Access Program (SAP) experience

  • Experience with Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and collateral data

Responsibilities:

  • Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned.
  • Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
  • Prepare system for operational use and support operational tests
  • Review, prepare, and update authorization packages
  • Notify customers when changes occur that might affect authorization accreditation.
  • Conduct cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection checklist.
  • Review and provide technical and cyber security coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
  • Identify all vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  • Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
  • Perform Video-Teleconferencing VTC System Administration, Scheduling, and Configuration.
  • Provide External Information System(s) Client Support.
  • Perform account creations, changes, and deletions on multiple authorization boundaries.
  • Perform Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
  • Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications.
  • Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
  • Provide Government-Issued Laptop Support.
  • Assist in Media Control and Accountability activities.
  • Perform COMSEC account/equipment management activities.
