Job Duties

Regions Hospital has an opportunity for a Patient Placement Manager to join our Centralized Hospital Operations (CHO) team!

Under the direction of the CHO Director, the CHO Patient Placement Manager is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating and supervising activities associated with the Patient Placement CHO Department. This includes establishing, maintaining and evaluating standards of care and assuming responsibility for staff development, environmental, human resource and fiscal management.

The essential duties of this position include:

Leading enterprise patient placement operations and daily flow management

Recruiting, managing and retaining a qualified workforce to meet patient placement and service needs

Participating and providing leadership for patient flow and throughput improvement initiatives

Maintaining operational knowledge of patient placement practices and system capabilities

Developing, monitoring, and modifying the budget, while managing daily operations within established budget.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or AD in Nursing and Baccalaureate degree in a related field

Minimum five (5) years of experience in hospital patient flow, capacity management, or inpatient operations

Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in a complex healthcare environment

Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary teams

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Current Registered Nurse license for either Minnesota or Wisconsin required upon hire. Must have both current MN & WI Registered Nurse license within 6 months of hire. Both Minnesota and Wisconsin license must be maintained

Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) as required
