Full job description

Senior Product Manager, Data & AI (Document Intelligence) Client opportunity via G2i · Remote (continental US, Eastern Time) · DC/Metro area preferred About this opportunity G2i is hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a fast-growing, DC-based government services firm. Since 2009 they have helped federal agencies and large government primes in three areas: research and data analysis, advanced data science, and strategic services. They currently support several analytics and research programs across HHS. The team is collaborative and small enough that your work is visible, and they take work-life balance seriously. You'd be hired through G2i and work embedded with the client's team.

The role You'll own the product roadmap for the client's document intelligence platform. You'll turn customer and reviewer needs into clear, testable requirements and make sure each problem is fixed in the right place. That could be the UX, the source data, the extraction pipeline, the model, the search logic, the thresholds, or the business rules. This role suits a product leader who knows that AI products need measurable definitions of quality: accuracy, false-positive rates, reviewer effort, evidence requirements and operational performance.

What you'll do

  • Own the roadmap and priorities across data engineering, data science, backend, search and frontend teams

  • Lead discovery with clients and internal stakeholders using prototypes, demos and working software

  • Turn business needs into requirements, user stories, business rules and measurable acceptance criteria

  • Define requirements for document processing, alerts, scoring, evidence presentation, search, review workflows and source traceability

  • Work with data scientists on evaluation datasets, model metrics, confidence thresholds, and acceptable false-positive and false-negative rates

  • Work with data engineers on ingestion, normalization, metadata, lineage, processing completeness and data quality

  • Diagnose whether an issue comes from the UI, data, model, pipeline, search, thresholds or business rules

  • Favor reusable platform capabilities over one-off client customizations

  • Coordinate release readiness, client demos and structured feedback

  • Measure accuracy, completeness, reviewer effort, latency, reliability, adoption and cost

  • Communicate priorities, tradeoffs and limitations clearly to clients and internal teams

What you bring

  • Senior PM experience delivering AI/ML, data-intensive, search or workflow products

  • Experience prioritizing work across data, ML, backend and frontend teams

  • A track record of discovery driven by prototypes or demos

  • Skill turning business needs into detailed, technical, testable requirements

  • Experience defining acceptance criteria for probabilistic features such as model outputs, alerts, recommendations or rankings

  • A solid grasp of data pipelines, APIs, data quality, system dependencies and model behavior

  • Close working experience with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers and UX

  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, writing and decision-making

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the US, with 3+ consecutive years living in the US

  • Able and willing to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Nice to have

  • Document intelligence, OCR, semantic or vector search, generative AI, or human-in-the-loop workflows

  • Products built on AWS (e.g. S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, Bedrock, SageMaker, Textract)

  • Regulated, healthcare, medical-device or other high-stakes products

  • Model governance, explainability, evidence traceability and reviewer workflows

  • Supporting multiple clients while keeping one coherent, reusable roadmap
