The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is primarily to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana through the provision of medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of our home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans with the ultimate goal of returning the veterans to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity.

The Louisiana Veterans Homes, located in Jackson, La., is seeking dependable and caring Licensed Practical Nurses 1/2/3 to join our team. This role is vital to ensure the care of our veterans.   • Insert catheters & collect laboratory specimens

Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probationary Location: This position is located in the Nursing Department of the LA Veterans Home in Jackson, Louisiana. Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an LPN 1/2/3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series. Work Schedule: This is a 12-hour shift with a rotating weekend position. 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Day Shift and 6:00 pm to 6:30 am Night Shift Compensation: This position offers a Premium Pay of $7.00 per hour worked, plus the following Special Entrance Rates: LPN 1: $19.48/hour; LPN 2: $20.84/hour; LPN 3: $22.30/hour
