Job Description:
-
Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
-
Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians.
-
Obtains all views required for processing.
-
Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
-
Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
-
Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
-
Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
-
Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
-
Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
-
Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
-
Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- in cardiovascular sonography
Work Experience:
- 1+ relevant experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required]

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

$31.86 - $59.27
