About the Role:

Join TAI’s Precision Lab as a Metrology/Calibration Technician, where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measurement and test equipment across a wide range of industries. This hands-on position combines calibration, troubleshooting, data analysis, and quality assurance while supporting both laboratory and field service operations. You'll work with advanced instrumentation and industry-leading standards to deliver precise measurement solutions that customers depend on every day.

Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and test equipment.

  • Perform calibrations across multiple disciplines, including electronics, pressure, temperature, RF/microwave, and force/torque.

  • Ensure equipment meets accuracy, quality, and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain calibration standards and laboratory equipment.

  • Collect, analyze, and document calibration data and results.

  • Investigate and correct out-of-tolerance equipment issues.

  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates.

  • Improve calibration methods, processes, and measurement accuracy.

  • Support quality systems, audits, and compliance activities.

  • Provide onsite and remote customer support, including field calibration work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Systems Technology or relative area of study is strongly preferred but not required.

  • Prior Military experience supporting electronics is preferred, but not required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience calibrating and maintaining test equipment (IM&TE) in the following disciplines –Physical Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, Humidity & Pressure, RF/Microwave, Thermometry, Force & Torque and Time/Frequency

  • Experience with preparing calibration reports, certificates and uncertainty calculations/budgets.

  • Knowledge of conducting technical audits within calibration laboratory.

  • Experience with Fluke Calibration Standards and Fluke MET TEAM/CAL Software is a plus but not required.

  • Provide exceptional customer-service orientation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.

  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about client’s facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks.

  • Consistently operate instrumentation standards, computers, calculator, copy machine, printer and other devices to efficiently complete tasks.

  • Must be able to ascend and descend a large quantity of stairways at any given time.

  • Frequently move tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs across client facilities as needed to complete tasks.

  • Ability to travel to multiple client sites.

Hours:

  • 8 hour days; Start between 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM M-F

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $30-35 Hourly (depending upon experience).

  • Eligible for overtime pay

  • Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
