Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Room ServiceSchedule:Part timeHours:24Job Details:The Dietetic Assistant ensures that every child requesting a meal from the Room Service program receives a meal that is within the limits of their diet order and does not contain any ingredient that would be harmful to their health. This often involves communicating with dietitians and nurses, consulting food labels and writing special diets. The Dietetic Assistant functions as a communication center for Room Service personnel, dietitians, and other professionals within the hospital with regards to special dietary needs. The Dietetic Assistant also takes and enters orders and gives instructions to the Room Service employees in the Supervisor's absence.

Department Specific Job Details:

Shift: 5:30AM - 2:00PM and 10:45AM - 7:15PM, every other weekend required and holiday rotation.

Education:

GED/High School diploma preferred

Experience

0-3 years of experience required
