Collect key data and document as-found building conditions using equipment, software, photographs, and forms. Review building equipment and controls systems to understand setpoints, schedules and operating parameters. Use diagnostic tools (e.g., temperature sensors, motor loggers, combustion analyzers, blower doors) to collect key data for demand reduction, energy savings, and emissions analysis. Identify savings opportunities in the field and while reviewing and analyzing data.

  • Analyze collected data using analytical techniques and software tools such as MS Excel, Python, or R; identify trends; optimize weather or production-normalized quantitative models; summarize takeaways, events, and impacts.

  • Support energy projects for a wide variety of technologies including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, exterior envelope, solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage system (BESS), electric vehicle (EV), and specialized process systems (compressed air, commercial kitchen equipment, laboratory systems, etc.).

  • Prepare and present findings through written and oral communications, including reports, memos, and presentations; communicate clearly with varied audiences, including clients, community stakeholders, and peers.

  • Engage clients (e.g., utilities, municipal, and state agencies) to scope out needs, identify key services or products, build partnerships, and implement energy solutions.

  • Manage self effectively, balancing priorities and communicating challenges to leadership; optimize working hours to preserve work-life balance.

  • Manage small teams of consultants effectively, providing leadership and direction while monitoring task quality, budget, and timeline; drive effective outcomes and quality deliverables while building community and shared purpose among colleagues.

  • Support business development and company growth through positive client relationships, industry outreach and networking, and support of project proposals via budget and written content development.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced, deliverable-driven environment.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently on assignments, learn new skills, and mentor colleagues.
