Our programs span the development, integration, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of complex weapon systems and mission-critical technologies that enhance warfighter capability and national security. Successful execution of these programs requires disciplined systems engineering practices to ensure customer requirements are translated into effective, integrated, and operationally capable solutions.

Job Summary

The Systems Engineer will support the development, integration, verification, and lifecycle management of advanced weapon systems and associated technologies. This position will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements, supporting system architecture development, coordinating subsystem integration activities, and ensuring technical solutions meet customer needs and program objectives.

The Systems Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program management, manufacturing, test organizations, and government stakeholders throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in requirements development, systems integration, technical planning, and verification activities within defense, aerospace, or complex technical programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support development and management of system, subsystem, and component-level requirements throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Analyze customer needs and operational requirements to develop technical solutions and system architectures.

  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation, specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and traceability matrices.

  • Perform requirements decomposition and allocation to hardware, software, and subsystem elements.

  • Support system architecture development and technical baseline management.

  • Coordinate and support integration of hardware, software, communications, and mission system components.

  • Participate in system integration activities, troubleshooting efforts, and resolution of technical issues.

  • Support design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer reviews.

  • Assist with verification and validation planning, test execution, and requirements compliance assessments.

  • Conduct technical analyses, trade studies, and risk assessments to support system development decisions.

  • Evaluate engineering changes and assess impacts to system performance, interfaces, schedules, and cost.

  • Support development of system engineering artifacts, technical reports, and program documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful transition from design through production, testing, fielding, and sustainment.

  • Maintain configuration management discipline and support change control processes.

  • Support proposal efforts, technical planning, and future business development activities as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in systems engineering, integration engineering, requirements management, or related technical roles.

  • Experience developing, managing, or verifying system requirements for complex technical systems.

  • Experience supporting system integration, testing, or verification activities.

  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and lifecycle management principles.

  • Ability to develop and interpret technical documentation, specifications, engineering drawings, and interface definitions.

  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, Cameo, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

  • U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related engineering discipline.

  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, missile, ground vehicle, air defense, command and control, or other weapon system programs.

  • Knowledge of the Systems Engineering "V" lifecycle and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.

  • Experience with requirements decomposition, allocation, traceability, and verification planning.

  • Familiarity with architecture development tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar MBSE environments.

  • Experience supporting hardware/software integration and troubleshooting activities.

  • Knowledge of interface management, systems integration laboratories, and test planning.

  • Understanding of DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering standards, and technical review processes.

  • Experience supporting qualification testing, developmental testing, operational testing, or system verification activities.

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple technical efforts simultaneously.
