About the Role

We're looking for a Product Designer who can turn complex problems into simple, intuitive experiences. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Content Designers to build customer and associate experiences from discovery through delivery. This role is ideal for someone with strong product design fundamentals who is comfortable shaping content, contributing to experience strategy, and leveraging AI to accelerate how work gets done. We're looking for a designer who can hit the ground running, collaborate effectively, and help teams move from ambiguity to clarity.

Day to day, you'll...

  • Design end-to-end customer and associate experiences across web, mobile, and emerging channels

  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content partners to solve customer problems

  • Conduct and apply customer research, usability testing, analytics, and feedback

  • Help shape content and messaging within experiences when appropriate

  • Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, ideation, prototyping, and content development

  • Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders

  • Contribute to design systems, patterns, and best practices

  • Balance customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver effective solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field

  • Portfolio demonstrating customer-centered design and measurable impact, with experience designing digital products from concept through launch

  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools

  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the product lifecycle

  • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments, with curiosity about AI and experience using AI-enabled tools in your workflow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content design, or content strategy

  • Experience designing AI-powered, conversational, or intelligent experiences

  • Experience conducting usability testing or customer research

  • Experience contributing to or evolving design systems

  • Experience working across multiple experience disciplines including content, service design, and research

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$73,400.00 - $110,100.00/Yr.
