Description

We are looking for an AI Engineer to serve as a force multiplier for the client’s engineering organization. The role is part of an initiative to design, build, and scale AI-powered engineering workflows that dramatically increase developer productivity and accelerate software delivery. The client’s team is actively supporting a complex legacy-to-Python migration while maintaining multiple customer-facing applications. This role will be responsible for leveraging AI technologies to automate and optimize every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, code generation, testing, defect investigation, and release processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AI-powered workflows that automate software engineering processes across the SDLC.

  • Build and orchestrate multi-step AI agent frameworks for code analysis, generation, validation, testing, and feedback loops.

  • Develop reusable AI tooling, agent templates, and engineering playbooks adopted across multiple teams.

  • Create automated testing solutions, regression frameworks, and validation mechanisms using AI-assisted approaches.

  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes through intelligent automation and release optimization.

  • Support large-scale legacy application modernization and business rule extraction initiatives.

  • Build Python-based automation tools for data processing, workflow orchestration, and engineering productivity.

  • Partner with developers, architects, and engineering leadership to identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies that improve software development efficiency and quality.

Requirements

Core Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software engineering, automation engineering, DevOps, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated experience building AI agent workflows and orchestration frameworks for engineering use cases.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, LangChain, custom AI agents, or similar technologies.

  • Advanced prompt engineering experience, including multi-step prompt design, context management, output validation, and business rule extraction.

  • Strong Python development skills with experience building scalable automation tools and services.

  • Experience automating software delivery pipelines, including CI/CD, testing, code quality enforcement, and release processes.

  • Expertise with GitHub Actions or similar DevOps automation platforms.

  • Experience creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks using tools such as pytest.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile delivery practices.

  • Proven ability to identify manual engineering processes and rapidly replace them with scalable automation solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing and modernizing legacy applications and codebases.

  • Java and Spring Boot development experience.

  • Experience with Elasticsearch.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies, including AKS and Cosmos DB.

  • Familiarity with healthcare data platforms, Master Data Management (MDM), or related domains.

  • Experience extracting business logic from proprietary or legacy programming languages using AI-assisted approaches.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale application modernization initiatives.

  • Knowledge of HPCC/ECL or similar legacy data processing technologies.
