Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 401 PALMETTO ST City: NEW SMYRNA BEACH State: Florida Postal Code: 32168 Job Description:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
- Monitor patient progress, regularly review, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure everyone is informed and involved in the care process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skills required to work in the emergency department as defined by unit
- Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes
- Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skills
- Able to navigate and manage multiple priorities
- Ases independent discretion/decision-making
- Able to make decisions under pressure
- Manages anger/fear/hostility
- Manages stress appropriately
- Works alone effectively
- Able to work effectively in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environment
- Works with others effectively
- Fluent in the English language (spoken and written)
- Demonstrates commitment to purposeful hourly visits and other established consumer experience strategies
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements
- Internship and/or preceptorship dependent upon nursing experience
- Unit-specific competencies met per orientation pathway
- The majority of employees will require a minimum of 12 months after orientation completed to achieve proficiency
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Work Experience:
-
1+ 12 lead ekg experience [Required] •
-
1+ acute hospital experience [Preferred]

- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Advanced (NRP-A) [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) [Preferred]
- Chemotherapy Certificate (CHEMO) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$31.85 - $52.76 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
