Full job description
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a machinery manufacturing operation in Greer, South Carolina. This contract-to-permanent position partners closely with site leadership to deliver day-to-day HR support across employee relations, benefits, recruiting, payroll coordination, compliance, and training. The role is well suited for a hands-on HR team member who can balance employee support with policy guidance, accurate administration, and continuous improvement of HR programs.
Responsibilities:

Partner with the HR Manager and plant leadership to provide broad human resources support across recruiting, employee relations, benefits, policy administration, reporting, and workforce development.

Review, refine, and help implement HR policies and procedures while guiding employees and managers on their practical application and consistent use.

Address workplace concerns by investigating complaints, advising supervisors on resolution strategies, and supporting appropriate follow-up for sensitive employee relations matters.

Maintain accurate personnel records and HRIS data, ensuring employee files and related documentation are complete, current, and audit-ready.

Process timekeeping information and support weekly payroll activities with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and issue resolution.

Administer employee benefit programs, manage enrollments and updates, reconcile vendor billing, and correct discrepancies with external providers as needed.

Coordinate recruitment activities for open positions, manage onboarding and new employee orientation, and build productive relationships with staffing partners and educational organizations.

Track training needs, maintain learning records, arrange required travel for training events, and deliver training support when appropriate.

Support performance management, attendance tracking, paid time off records, compensation administration, and corrective action documentation for supervisors and managers.

Assist with incident and claims documentation, workers' compensation and leave administration, exit interview analysis, health and safety collaboration, and broader HR improvement initiatives that help sustain a positive workplace culture. Requirements • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.

Background supporting multiple HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations.

Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate employee data and records.

Working knowledge of payroll processes, with ADP experience preferred.

Ability to interpret HR policies, guide managers on employee matters, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills for partnering with employees, supervisors, and leadership.

Familiarity with compliance-related processes such as investigations, leave administration, workers' compensation, and training documentation. TalentMatch®
