YOPRS Rehabil CNSLR - Rover (#017056) Young Offender Parole & Reentry, Columbia (RICHLAND)

• Under limited supervision of the division of young offender programs and reentry: plans and facilitates all individual rehabilitative counseling services, including orientation and assessment, ensuring that all materials and documentation are maintained in accordance to standards.

• Conducts individual, group, and family counseling services.

• Monitors and documents offender behavior, group participation, and educational and vocational progress.

• Maintains accurate case management records, notes, and reports, records all activities in the appropriate databases in accordance with policy and standards.

• Completes assessments to identify educational, vocational, behavioral, social, and medical needs.

• Collaborate with staff and community partners to coordinate reentry plans and referrals.

• Provides recommendations regarding release eligibility.

• Performs other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, providing rehabilitative counseling support to youthful offenders housed throughout the state.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs;

OR

• An associate degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and three (3) years professional experience in human services or social services programs;

OR

• A high school diploma and five (5) years professional experience in human services or social services programs.
