Manufacturing Process Technician

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $24 - $29 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Manufacturing Process Technician:

  • Provide detailed and accurate communication through shift reports

  • Monitor work order progress using SKS and PICK systems

  • Set up, start up, and restart operating lines during product changeovers

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures

  • Know the location and function of all emergency stops (E-Stops)

  • Keep production lines clean and free of slip and trip hazards

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations

  • Store cleaning supplies and tools in designated locations

  • Use cutting tools and equipment safely and properly

  • Wear required PPE at all times and in designated areas

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

  • Verify correct materials are used in the extrusion process

  • Ensure all manufacturing and packaging documentation is accurate and available

  • Inspect coils for conformance to specifications

  • Perform quality checks and prepare QA samples according to work instructions

  • Verify product labels and laser printing accuracy

  • Stack coils neatly on pallets according to packaging specifications

  • Complete all required forms accurately and thoroughly

  • Ensure product changes, setups, and restarts meet quality standards

  • Train employees on coiler/reeler operations and setup procedures

  • Follow up on order changes and production setups

  • Verify BOM accuracy against work orders and SKS requirements

  • Troubleshoot production and process issues

  • Train and mentor developing technicians

  • Take ownership of production issues and continuous improvement initiatives during the shift

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals

  • Maintain and track spare parts inventory for manufacturing equipment

  • Monitor and improve OEE metrics, including availability, performance, and quality

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production lines

  • Set up and configure all extrusion production lines

  • Set up and configure all recoil lines

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of coiler operations and equipment setup

Available Shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. overhead

  • Basic mechanical knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Basic math skills

  • Previous mechanical experience preferred

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Background check and drug test required
