Description

We're looking for a Vice President of Quality to lead the Quality Control department across PCSI's nationwide federal service contracts and corporate operations. This role works across the organization to ensure quality standards are effectively integrated into business processes, performance is measured and understood, and opportunities for improvement are identified and acted upon. The Vice President partners with operational and executive leaders to drive consistency, reduce risk, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that supports contract compliance and ability to provide meaningful work opportunities. This role also manages and provides guidance to members of the Quality Control Team, both Corporate and site Quality Control Managers.

The Vice President of Quality reports to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and is based at our Corporate Headquarters office, with extensive travel nationwide.

What You'll Do as Vice President of Quality:

  • Oversee the execution and performance of the Quality program on all PCSI contracts and the Corporate headquarters.

  • Manage and provide guidance to all quality employees.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the quality program.

  • Lead the annual re-certification to International ISO 9001- 2015 Standard (company-wide) and CIMS-GB 1006:2009 Standard (PCSI Hospital Division only).

  • Assure effectiveness of inspections and audits at contract job sites and corporate headquarters.

  • Manage implementation of Orange QC, Bigfoot, MAXIMO, and other web-based inspection and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) used at job sites to perform 249,000+ inspections and to assure compliance with 12,000+ contract requirements annually.

  • Oversee execution annual ISO audits at job sites and Corporate. Support CFO with financial audits as needed.

  • Collect, analyze, and report Quality inspection and audit results from job sites and corporate office. Keep executive management fully informed of quality performance by summarizing and sharing reports in a timely and transparent manner.

  • Develop and maintain a system for controlling all PCSI-generated documents used to perform company business per ISO Standard 7.5.3 “Control of Documents.”

  • Develop organizational strategies for quality by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to executive management, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

  • Maintain quality standards by staying current with regulatory changes and anticipating emerging quality trends.

  • Develop, implement, manage, integrate and maintain a Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) via the PCSI Opportunity & Incident Log (O&I Log) at job sites and corporate office to continuously assesses processes and procedures for improvement purposes.

  • Identify potential areas of quality vulnerability and risk; develop and implement preventative /corrective actions and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.

  • Ensure relevant, comprehensive, and timely training for the quality department.

  • Maintain the quality department budget.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking and joining professional societies.

What You'll Need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience implementing and maintaining QA/QC systems, including root cause analysis and preventive/corrective actions.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience supervising employees, including coaching to develop skills and resolve conflicts.

  • Management System Auditor Training (ISO 9001, CIMS, etc.).

  • Government and/or Defense contracting experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Must be able to create graphs and charts and embed videos and other graphics into reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Health, Environmental, & Safety regulations and standards.

  • Experience with SharePoint and Office 365.

  • Experience working with employees with disabilities.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to enforce compliance with contract standards, statutory requirements, and rules and regulations.

  • Understanding of federal laws and regulations surrounding ISO, CIMS, FAR, CFR, SCA, OSHA, ADA, and AbilityOne.

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to set and manage priorities.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to gain approval for physical access to secure military base work locations. Restrictions vary from site to site.

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.

  • May need to have the ability to legally drive a company vehicle.

  • Ability to exchange accurate information in person and over the phone.

  • Primarily works indoors.

  • Extensive travel may be required, up to 70%.

How You’ll Work:

  • Based at the Corporate Headquarters office in south Austin, TX when not traveling.

  • Travels regularly, up to 70%.

  • Typically Monday-Friday hybrid schedule, up to 2 days per week remote when not traveling.
