The Role

The role translates product-performance, glazing, fenestration, and building-performance information into practical recommendations for sales teams, distributors, dealers, installers, customers, architects, engineers, consultants, building owners, and other stakeholders.
The position supports customer opportunities and larger architectural projects by evaluating building and glazing requirements, recommending appropriate Eastman solutions, and explaining potential benefits related to energy use, occupant comfort, solar performance, safety, security, sustainability, and return on investment.
This is an early-career to developing professional role, performed with moderate guidance and collaboration with regional and global technical resources. Occasional travel of approximately 50% is expected, primarily within EMEA and, when required, internationally.
Responsibilities
-
Support EMEA sales teams, distributors, dealers, and installers with technical information needed to develop and win architectural projects.
-
Evaluate customer needs, window and glazing information, and project requirements to help identify suitable Eastman architectural film solutions.
-
Perform or coordinate energy analyses, building-performance evaluations, and return-on-investment assessments for larger projects using established tools and methods.
-
Explain technical results, energy savings, solar performance, sustainability benefits, and commercial considerations to technical and non-technical audiences.
-
Provide technical support for customer meetings, presentations, site visits, project reviews, product-performance questions, and technical issues.
-
Develop and deliver technical training for sales teams, distributors, dealers, and installers.
-
Prepare project-specific technical information, customer communications, simplified evaluation tools, and supporting documentation.
-
Support architectural pre-installation approvals and contribute to product testing, certification, and approval activities, including applicable safety, impact, windstorm, blast, forced-entry, or fire-related testing.
-
Review technical content for marketing materials, websites, presentations, product information, certifications, technical claims, and special or extended warranty requests.
-
Coordinate sensitive or complex technical matters with Legal, Marketing, Product Management, Quality, Technical Enablement, Sustainability, and other relevant functions.
-
Assist with the technical evaluation of new products, market opportunities, customer requirements, and quality-related matters, escalating complex issues when appropriate.
-
Maintain awareness of relevant building regulations, energy-efficiency standards, sustainability initiatives, certification systems, and industry developments across EMEA.
-
Support applicable industry associations, technical committees, certification activities, testing organizations, and standards groups.
-
Collaborate with regional and global peers to share knowledge, align technical approaches, and support consistent tools, processes, and best practices.
-
Participate in customer visits, internal meetings, training, conferences, testing activities, and other business travel as required.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building science, energy engineering, architecture, materials science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
-
Minimum three years of relevant experience in areas such as technical support, technical sales, construction, building performance, research, laboratory work, or related academic projects.
-
Knowledge of or strong interest in commercial building performance, glazing and fenestration, architectural films, energy efficiency, sustainability, and solar control.
-
Familiarity with building-energy or fenestration-analysis tools is preferred.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
-
Ability to translate technical information into practical, commercially useful recommendations.
-
Customer-focused, self-motivated, curious, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple activities.
-
Ability to collaborate across functions, countries, and cultures.
-
Professional English required.
-
Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, or German proficiency highly desirable.
-
Willingness to travel approximately 50% within EMEA and internationally when required.
