Family Law Attorney

Description We are looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join a respected legal team in Illinois. This position is well suited for a motivated attorney with a strong background in domestic relations matters who is eager to advocate for clients through complex and sensitive legal issues. The role offers meaningful courtroom involvement, close collaboration with colleagues, and opportunities for continued growth within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a portfolio of family law cases involving divorce, parenting disputes, support matters, spousal maintenance, and other related domestic relations issues.

• Prepare and refine legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, briefs, and case-related correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.

• Advocate for clients during court hearings, mediation sessions, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

• Analyze legal issues, perform research, and develop practical strategies that support each client’s objectives and case posture.

• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to move matters forward efficiently and deliver strong client service.

• Guide clients through each stage of the legal process with clear communication, sound judgment, and effective representation.

• Contribute positively to a team-oriented office culture by supporting colleagues and maintaining a high standard of excellence. Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Illinois.

• Between 3 and 6 years of legal experience, including substantial work in family law matters.

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.

• Prior courtroom experience, including trials or contested hearings, is strongly preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Sound organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active matters in a fast-paced practice.

• A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advocacy.

Compensation: $100-150K, depending on experience
