Full job description
Providence Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join its established Bariatric and Weight Management Surgery Program in Seattle, Washington.
This position offers an opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgical weight-loss procedures. The APC will support patients throughout the bariatric surgery continuum, including pre-operative assessment, post-operative follow-up, longitudinal weight management, and coordination of care with surgeons, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and nursing staff.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and passionate about helping patients achieve meaningful improvements in health and quality of life through bariatric and metabolic surgery.

Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs

Join a well-established Bariatric and Weight Management program
-
Outpatient-focused practice with opportunities for inpatient support as needed

Collaborate closely with bariatric surgeons, registered dietitians, behavioral health specialists, exercise physiologists, and nursing teams

Perform comprehensive evaluations, follow-up visits, patient education, and medical management

Assist in the care of patients before and after bariatric surgery

Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation is between $69.68 and $90.47 per hour
The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
-
Washington State NP or PA licensure, or ability to obtain before start date

DEA certification, or ability to obtain prior to start
-
Previous experience in bariatric surgery, general surgery, obesity medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, or primary care preferred

Strong communication and patient education skills
-
Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

New graduates with strong surgical, weight management, endocrinology, or primary care experience are encouraged to apply
