Key Responsibilities:
The Logistics Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting customer pricing, transportation procurement, and competitive bid activities across multiple transportation modes, including Over-the-Road (OTR), Intermodal, LTL, FTL, and other transportation services. This individual analyzes large volumes of transportation, market, carrier, and historical pricing data to develop accurate, competitive, and cost-effective pricing recommendations that support customer requirements and business profitability.
The position manages and supports Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) processes and collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to develop commercially competitive and operationally executable transportation solutions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and negotiation skills, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, and the ability to monitor market trends, carrier capacity, and cost drivers to identify optimal pricing and procurement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Pricing, Cost Analysis & Business Planning

Analyze warehouse operational requirements, customer volume, inventory profiles, throughput, labor, storage, material handling equipment (MHE), and other cost drivers to develop competitive and financially sustainable warehouse solutions.

Develop and maintain warehouse pricing models covering storage, handling, labor, MHE, utilities, facility costs, value-added services, and other operating expenses.

Compare direct-operation, 3PL, lease, and other operating scenarios to identify the most commercially viable solution.

Support annual business planning, budgeting, cost forecasting, and strategic planning activities related to warehouse operations and facility requirements.

Prepare management-level financial summaries, business cases, and recommendations to support investment and operational decisions.
- RFI / RFP / RFQ Management
-
Lead and coordinate end-to-end RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes for warehouse operations, 3PL services, facility sourcing, and other logistics requirements.

Develop bid packages, including scope of work, operational requirements, pricing templates, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements.

Analyze operational data, customer requirements, vendor proposals, and pricing structures to ensure competitive and feasible solutions.

Develop bid comparison models, vendor scorecards, and scenario analyses to evaluate commercial and operational competitiveness.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Procurement throughout the bidding, negotiation, and vendor selection process.
- Industrial Real Estate & Lease Management
-
Manage and support the end-to-end warehouse real estate lifecycle, including market surveys, site selection, LOI/RFP, lease negotiation, execution, renewal, expansion, relocation, sublease, and termination.

Analyze lease economics and commercial terms, including base rent, NNN/CAM, rent escalation, tenant improvements, free rent, operating expenses, and renewal options.

Develop lease financial models and total occupancy cost comparisons to support negotiations and management decisions.

Manage industrial real estate brokers and tenant-representation agents, including market surveys, property searches, site tours, landlord communications, and commercial negotiations.

Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, landlords, brokers, and other external partners throughout real estate transactions.
-
Maintain lease documentation, critical dates, market intelligence, and transaction status while supporting broker governance and performance management.
- Warehouse Sourcing & Operations Planning
-
Source, evaluate, and compare 3PL providers and warehouse-related vendors based on cost, operational capability, service quality, capacity, and commercial terms.

Support sourcing activities for staffing, MHE, racking, automation, facility services, and other warehouse operational requirements.
-
Develop pricing comparisons, vendor evaluations, cost scenarios, and sourcing recommendations to support vendor selection and commercial negotiations.

Partner with Operations to assess warehouse capacity, space utilization, facility requirements, MHE, infrastructure, and future operational needs.

Support warehouse startup, expansion, consolidation, relocation, and optimization projects by coordinating sourcing, operational, commercial, and contractual requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse cost structure, vendor competitiveness, asset utilization, and overall operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning & Ad Hoc Projects

Lead and support strategic and ad hoc projects related to warehouse operations, real estate, sourcing, cost optimization, and business expansion.

Develop business cases and financial analyses for new warehouse investments, operational changes, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.

Conduct feasibility studies and scenario analyses for new markets, customers, facilities, and operating models.
-
Research emerging warehouse technologies, automation solutions, market trends, and operating models to identify potential business opportunities.

Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and other internal stakeholders.

Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, project updates, and recommendations for management review.

Perform other planning, analysis, and special projects as assigned.
- Process Improvement, Data & Systems

Develop and improve standardized warehouse pricing models, RFI/RFP/RFQ templates, market survey tools, lease comparison models, sourcing templates, and management reports.

Develop automated Excel tools, dashboards, and analytical models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.

Maintain accurate warehouse, lease, vendor, pricing, sourcing, and project information within applicable business systems.

Establish and track key performance indicators related to sourcing savings, warehouse costs, lease economics, facility utilization, bid performance, and project execution.

Identify opportunities to improve processes related to warehouse sourcing, real estate transactions, vendor management, pricing, and strategic planning.

Support continuous improvement and standardization across warehouse planning and sourcing activities.
Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance, Real Estate, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse planning, 3PL sourcing, logistics pricing, procurement, industrial real estate, or a related supply chain role.

Experience managing or supporting RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, including bid preparation, pricing analysis, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendation.
-
Working knowledge of warehouse operations, cost structures, facility requirements, and industrial lease fundamentals.
-
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
-
Strong vendor sourcing, commercial negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external partners.
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-
Ability to travel up to 10–20%.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a 3PL, warehousing, distribution, industrial real estate, or logistics consulting environment.

Hands-on experience with warehouse/3PL sourcing, site selection, market surveys, lease transactions, or facility planning projects.
-
Experience developing warehouse cost models and evaluating 3PL proposals, including labor, storage, MHE, facility, and other operating costs.
-
Experience working with industrial real estate brokers, landlords, 3PL providers, and warehouse-related vendors.
-
Experience with SAP, WMS/TMS, sourcing/procurement platforms, or other supply chain systems.
-
Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel VBA/Macros, or other data analytics and automation tools is a plus.

Knowledge of warehouse automation technologies, including AGV/AMR, AS/RS, robotics, and material handling solutions, is a plus.
