Position Summary: The General/ Plant Manager will lead and manage the facility supporting production, distribution, safety, team member experience, sales, quality, and cost. In alignment with our shared vision, the leader should be able to effectively champion initiatives to drive productivity through commercial, operational and financial excellence.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provide development of staff leaders to guide plant and support organizations

  • Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements

  • Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance and safety

  • Establish and maintain the plant(s) vision for success

  • Facilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making and problem-solving

  • Provides effective leadership and promotes good working relationships across all functions in the facilities and for the company.

  • Responsible for the overall production, distribution, safety, quality, performance, and profitability of assigned operations.

  • Leads by example thus setting a positive tone for the organization, creating a motivating work environment and cooperation across functions regardless of market conditions.

  • Coordinate business activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing and production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Establish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standards

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Operations Management or related field required.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in production management, with at least two in a manufacturing management position. Prior P&L and commercial responsibility is required.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc. Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment. Work primarily involves sitting / standing.

  • Travel Requirements: As Needed
