YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, North America Manufacturing Vegetable Seed Product Supply Manufacturing Excellence Lead, are to:

• Strategic oversight of all regional seed processing sites, seed sanitization, service units, packaging technology, Capex management, and operational excellence;

• Develop strategy and concepts together with site functional owners to deliver against business targets;

• Accountable for ensuring license to operate while delivering site operational targets Quality, HSE, Sustainability, Facilities and Community Outreach for multi-use site;

• Develop the strategy for regional seed processing and seed sanitization sites in collaboration with Regional SCM and Global VSPS strategic objectives;

• Ensure license to operate, oversees programs across Safety, Quality, Environmental, regulatory, compliance and risk management systems;

• Drive Production System strategy and implementation across site;

• Actively drives cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain Management, Quality, Production and OneMS to continuously improve process, create effective communication methods and deliver the needs of our customers and our business;

• Partner closely with finance to manage regional CAPEX and OPEX budgets and execution;

• Ensure effective implementation and management of Seed Technology processes and initiatives across plant processing areas in conjunction with Global Veg Seed Technology strategy;

• Drive cost improvement projects and other initiatives to ensure that the P&L will meet all financial goals and targets for the current year and over the strategic planning period;

• Direct and ensure efficiency of the functions at the sites; confirms an efficient and reliable organizational structure, utilizing dynamic resource flow through empowering employees and fostering cooperation and teamwork;

• Lead and manage the Oxnard site operations including Landlord obligations for long term Tenants, Mission Produce;

• Drive sustainability improvements in our operations and facilities management;

• Maximize people and team development opportunities in alignment with business needs;

• Model VACC behaviors and promote a culture of transparency, inclusion, learning, and continuous improvement.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field;

• Extensive knowledge of operational excellence, continuous improvement, quality systems, and compliance programs;

• Demonstrated ability to influence, drive change, and lead through complex matrix organizations;

• VACC competencies and behaviors;

• Business understanding & financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of management experience (Leader of leaders experience);

• 10+ years of relevant experience (i.e., Manufacturing, Supply Chain).

Relocation may be offered for this role.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $172,800.00 to $259,200.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
