About the Role:

Lead the facilities operations that keep a regulated manufacturing site running safely, efficiently, and compliantly. As Facilities Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership across maintenance, metrology, manufacturing support, and facility planning functions while driving reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This is a highly visible leadership role with broad influence across site operations, quality, and capital projects.

Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Services department.

  • Provide direct oversight of Maintenance, Manufacturing Support, Metrology, and Facility Resource Planning teams.

  • Ensure facility infrastructure and critical systems are maintained in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Own departmental Quality Systems activities, including: Deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls, SOP creation, revision, and periodic review

  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies and regulations.

  • Serve as the final approver for departmental documentation, maintenance records, and system transactions.

  • Establish departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.

  • Allocate facilities resources to maintenance activities, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets.

  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution of scheduled production shutdowns and preventive maintenance activities.

  • Act as the primary Facilities representative during internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

  • Support capital projects and site improvements as the subject matter expert for facility systems and plant equipment.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff members.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, compliance, and operational performance.

You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Facilities Management, or a related discipline preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, food and beverage, medical device, or similar industries.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing facilities, maintenance, engineering, or utility teams.

  • Demonstrated progression in leadership, responsibility, and operational scope throughout career.

  • Strong knowledge of quality and compliance systems within regulated environments.

  • Experience managing departmental budgets, resource planning, and scheduling.

  • Proven success leading maintenance organizations and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or other CMMS/EAM systems.

  • Working knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance technologies, including:

  • Vibration analysis

  • Infrared thermography

  • Ultrasonic analysis

  • Reliability-centered maintenance practices

  • Experience supporting facility expansions, equipment installations, or capital projects.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing shutdown planning and execution.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $110,000-135,000 annually (depending upon experience).

  • Eligible for overtime pay

  • Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
