The Hide Process Trainee is the starting point for those with no experience who want to learn the process and grow a career with Creekstone and work to perpetuate a "Creekstone Proud" culture through attitude and actions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Learn the operations of centrifuges, Grinders, Hide puller, load out area, meal grinder - Support operation of the process to produce product that is within specification - Learn about yields by gaining a clear understanding of yields of product - Assist where needed, as directed by department management - Adhere to Safety Programs rules and regulations - Physically capable of performing job duties while wearing a Respirator in certain situations - All other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Knowledge of mechanical operations of equipment - Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful - Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results - Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment - Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills - Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Climbing, stooping, and crouching occasionally; Standing for 8 or more hours per day; Walking frequently; Pushing, pulling, and grasping to move materials in the warehouse; Must be able to lift 0 80+lbs; Able to work in hot and cold environments; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) occasionally hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety goggles, hair/beard net, etc.
