JOB DESCRIPTION

Technical Analyst (Garrison)

This position requires an active Secret clearance to start

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify

The Technical Analyst (Garrison) provides technical and geospatial systems support for the PACAF GeoBase program at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF), Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii. This Mission Essential position supports enterprise GIS capabilities, installation management, and expeditionary operations across the Indo-Pacific. The analyst works with government personnel to maintain GeoBase systems, manage geospatial data, troubleshoot technical issues, and support mission readiness.

Compensation & Benefits: $90,000-$100,000

Estimated Starting Salary Range: Pay commensurate with experience.

Technical Analyst (Expeditionary) Responsibilities Include:

  • Support PACAF GeoBase enterprise GIS operations.

  • Maintain and administer ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related GeoBase applications.

  • Analyze technical requirements and recommend solutions.

  • Manage and validate enterprise geospatial data.

  • Perform data quality assurance (QA/QC) and metadata management.

  • Support software installations, upgrades, testing, and configuration management.

  • Troubleshoot applications, databases, and system issues.

  • Coordinate with system administrators, database administrators, and cybersecurity teams.

  • Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Provide technical support and user training.

  • Support contingency, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations activities.

  • Prepare technical reports and briefings for leadership.

  • Support Mission Essential operations as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, & Abilities Requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Geography, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD GIS, GeoBase, or enterprise IT systems.

  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.

  • Experience managing geospatial databases and enterprise GIS data.

  • Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.

  • Experience supporting Air Force or DoD geospatial programs preferred.

  • Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Experience developing technical documentation and SOPs.

  • Ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Active Secret clearance required.
