Maintenance Generalist - Packaging Maint

This position is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the plant. Responsibilities: * Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. * Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders. * Install and maintain utility equipment including, but not limited to, boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment. * Change out and setup equipment. * Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment. * Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). * Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. * Ability and willingness to work on demand in emergency situations. * Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. * Able to complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions. * Keep all work areas clean. * Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements. * Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. * Perform any other work as assigned by management. Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. * Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently. * Ability and willingness to lift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds. * Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously. * Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently. * Ability and willingness to stand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours. * Ability and willingness to climb stairs. * Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10 degrees. Requirements: * Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
