Full job description
Facility: Ambulatory Surgery Center Lockport
Shift: Shift 1
Status: Part Time w/Benefits FTE: 0.500000
Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates
Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No
Work Schedule: Days
Hours: Total five days a pay period. Shift primarily 7a-3p, but will rotate to 6a-2p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p
Summary:
Assists physicians and nurses with assigned post-operative responsibilities and provides patient support activities. Focuses on patient priorities with a kind and caring attitude to ensure quality care. Prepares and takes patient’s vital signs as required by procedure. Escorts patient’s family members to post-operative area. Assists all patients with discharge and exiting the building safely. Coordinates the timeliness of patient transportation. Maintains supplies for pre-operative and post-operative areas.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one (1) year of related customer service experience and/or training preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
-
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization
-
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
