Full job description

The US Operate Strategy & Execution team is a cross-business strategy function that helps shape and execute the growth agenda for BO&I US Operate, specifically supporting the build of new capabilities that further our LTP aspirations. We work alongside business, offering, industry, and enabling-function leaders to identify strategic opportunities, assess investment priorities, mobilize the capabilities and resources required to create and deliver new services, and facilitate execution of the particular investment.

The initial focus for this role will be Industry Innovation: identifying where changing client needs, industry disruption, emerging technologies, and evolving delivery models create opportunities for US Operate to differentiate, grow, and scale. The role will help businesses and leaders move priority opportunities from insight and strategy through investment decisions, service creation, pilot activity, commercialization, and execution.

Over time, the role may expand to additional US Operate strategy priorities, including growth strategy, portfolio development, sales growth, commercialization, operating-model evolution, strategic partnerships, and/or other cross-business initiatives.

Recruiting for this role ends on October 23, 2026

Work you'll do:

As a Business Strategy Manager - US Operate, you will lead selected strategic workstreams on behalf of the US Operate Strategy & Execution team. You will help business leaders make informed choices, align stakeholders, mobilize investments, and move new services from concept to execution.

You will:

  • Lead cross-business strategy workstreams that address priority US Operate growth opportunities, including problem definition, market and industry assessment, strategic options, investment recommendations, execution planning, and outcome tracking.

  • Facilitate business strategy development by bringing together leaders from relevant businesses, offerings, industries, and enabling functions to define opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and establish shared priorities.

  • Develop Industry Innovation perspectives by analyzing industry disruption, client needs, market signals, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and changes in service-delivery models.

  • Identify opportunities for new services and capabilities and work with business leaders to assess their strategic relevance, market potential, differentiation, scalability, and organizational requirements.

  • Co-develop service concepts with the businesses, helping translate market and client needs into viable service propositions, capability requirements, pilot approaches, and commercialization pathways.

  • Build investment decision materials that clarify the opportunity, strategic rationale, expected value, required resources, risks, dependencies, and choices for leadership consideration.

  • Help mobilize investments alongside the businesses by coordinating the people, funding, technology, leadership attention, and other resources needed to test, develop, and scale priority initiatives.

  • Orchestrate incubation, piloting, and scaling activities across business and enabling teams, ensuring that decision gates, handoffs, dependencies, and ownership are clear.

  • Partner with business leaders on go-to-market and commercialization planning, including target industries and clients, value propositions, market points of view, differentiated messaging, pursuit enablement, and scaling requirements.

  • Facilitate executive governance and decision-making by preparing leadership meetings, framing decisions, surfacing trade-offs, documenting actions, and maintaining momentum across complex initiatives.

  • Develop executive-ready strategy materials, including opportunity assessments, business cases, investment recommendations, portfolio views, strategic roadmaps, decision memos, operating-model implications, and leadership presentations.

  • Connect related efforts across US Operate to identify opportunities for shared capabilities, reusable assets, cross-business collaboration, and more effective investments.

  • Track strategic progress and outcomes by monitoring market signals, initiative milestones, adoption, business impact, risks, and lessons learned; recommend adjustments when needed.

  • Partner with product, technology, and delivery teams when initiatives require digital platforms, AI-enabled solutions, analytics, or technology implementation, while maintaining the strategic, commercial, and organizational perspective.

  • Lead and develop project teams and workstreams, providing structure in ambiguous environments, maintaining high standards for quality, and mentoring team members.

The successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-level presentations and storyboarding complex topics.

  • Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, especially with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong proficiency in thoughtfully using AI to accelerate work development and in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Enterprise and cross-business perspective, with the ability to see connections across businesses, offerings, industries, and enabling functions.

  • Structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to frame ambiguous issues, develop hypotheses, evaluate options, and make clear recommendations.

  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to align senior stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Ability to lead strategy and investment discussions that balance market opportunity, client value, differentiation, feasibility, required capabilities, and expected return.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including market research, industry analysis, competitive assessment, business-case development, and portfolio prioritization.

  • Ability to translate complex analysis into practical choices, execution roadmaps, governance requirements, and measurable outcomes.

  • Executive communication skills, including the ability to create concise presentations, decision materials, points of view, business cases, and strategic narratives.

  • Strong commercial orientation, with an understanding of new-service development, go-to-market strategy, commercialization, and growth economics.

  • Ability to build trust across business boundaries and maintain momentum when priorities, ownership, or resources are not initially clear.

  • Strong project and workstream leadership skills, including planning, prioritization, issue resolution, dependency management, and execution tracking.

  • Comfort operating in a central strategy role where success depends on enabling others to act rather than directly owning every outcome.

The Team:

The US Operate Strategy & Execution team works across businesses and offerings rather than sitting within a single business unit.

Our role is to help US Operate determine where to play, how to win, what to build, and where to invest. We bring together business leaders, industry leaders, offering teams, technology teams, and enabling functions to identify opportunities, develop strategic choices, and mobilize action.

The team invests alongside the businesses in selected growth and innovation priorities by helping align resources, funding, capabilities, technology, and leadership attention. Business leaders bring their market knowledge, delivery expertise, and accountability for ongoing service performance; the Strategy team brings enterprise perspective, structured analysis, facilitation, investment discipline, and cross-business orchestration.

The team's initial priority includes Industry Innovation-identifying where industry disruption, emerging technology, and changing client expectations create opportunities to develop differentiated services and capabilities. Our work may also span portfolio strategy, commercialization, operating-model evolution, strategic partnerships, and cross-business growth initiatives.

Join a team where your work will help business leaders turn strategic opportunities into new services, capabilities, and sources of growth for US Operate.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record.

  • 6+ years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, enterprise transformation, growth strategy, innovation strategy, commercialization, or a related field.

  • Travel: Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on business needs.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in business, such as an MBA.

  • Previous background in strategy consulting, innovation management, corporate innovation, growth strategy, business transformation, or new-venture development.

  • Prior experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives or managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives - spanning business-unit, offering, functional, or organizational boundaries, and coordinating shared investments across multiple business units.

  • Prior experience developing business cases, investment recommendations, strategic roadmaps, or operating plans, to support the creation, commercialization, or scaling of new services, offerings, capabilities, or business models - including product management, solution management, sprint facilitation, MVP development, or product lifecycle oversight.

  • Prior experience applying GenAI, Agentic AI, automation, analytics, or other emerging technologies to business strategy, service delivery, or growth opportunities.
