Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.
Summary of Role:
As a Finance Project Management & Financial Systems Analyst Intern, you will support the Finance Transformation organization by contributing to both project management and financial systems initiatives across Finance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, Finance teams, and technology partners to improve processes, support system enhancements, identify automation opportunities, and assist in the successful delivery of transformation projects that improve efficiency, controls, data quality, and user experience.
Essential Responsibilities include:

Support Finance transformation projects by assisting with project planning, tracking, documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.

Conduct analysis to identify process improvement opportunities across Finance operations and business processes.
-
Assist in documenting business requirements, scope definitions, process maps, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

Support current-state and future-state process assessments and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, controls, and user experience.

Assist with financial systems enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, validation, and user adoption activities.

Support automation, reporting, analytics, and digital transformation efforts through data analysis and process documentation.

Participate in system testing, issue tracking, and validation of configuration or process changes.

Help develop dashboards, reports, and business insights that support process performance monitoring and decision-making.

Research emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and automation solutions that can improve Finance processes and operations.

Collaborate with Finance, Internal Controls, IT, and Digital Transformation teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements and governance standards.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
-
Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Program/Project Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.

Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.

Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior related internship or co-op experience
-
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong planning & organizational skills
-
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Platform, or similar tools, and documenting business requirements, process flows, or use cases.

Understanding of Finance business processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, FP&A, or Internal Controls is a plus.
