Department: Night Shift Skilled Tradesman Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: A Skilled Trades Helper will assist skilled tradesmen in all areas of the physical facilities of the campus. A Skilled Trades Helper may assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds care, and mechanical systems. A Skilled Trades Helper will participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn a craft. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the various trade areas Skilled in the use of operation and care of tools and machinery Ability to learn to perform manual labor under varying working conditions Ability to understand and follow oral instructions Performs other duties as assigned. Position schedule: Monday through Friday 12:30 pm -9:00 pm. Minimal overtime. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma - At least 18 years of age - Valid Driver's License - Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50lbs.
