Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Talent Advisor - Business Unit and Functions to join our Cummins Inc. team in Columbus, IN .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting strategies that attract and secure top talent aligned with business priorities.

  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and market engagement initiatives.

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to drive efficient, high-quality hiring decisions.

  • Evaluate candidates using structured assessment methodologies to ensure alignment with role and organizational needs.

  • Champion compliance and process excellence throughout all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Leverage recruiting metrics and data insights to improve hiring outcomes and optimize talent acquisition performance.

  • Strengthen Cummins’ employer brand by contributing to talent attraction and employment branding initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement through cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and recruiting project leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex recruiting initiatives while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and delivering timely hiring outcomes.

  • Strong talent sourcing, candidate assessment, and consulting capabilities, with the ability to influence decisions and build trusted partnerships.

  • Data-driven approach to recruiting, utilizing analytics and insights to support workforce planning and continuous process improvement.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences.

  • Proven agility, sound judgment, and customer-focused problem-solving skills in a fast-paced talent acquisition environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Preferred experience recruiting within a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of hiring challenges and talent needs across industrial operations.

  • Skilled in leveraging applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies to manage candidate pipelines, maintain data integrity, and provide stakeholder reporting.

  • Preferred expertise in external talent sourcing, candidate engagement strategies, and building targeted talent pools for critical positions.

  • Ability to apply HR business processes, compliance standards, and employment practices while maintaining operational efficiency and a positive candidate experience.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting recruiting metrics, identifying trends, and presenting recommendations that support data-driven talent decisions.

  • Effective collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments, values diverse perspectives, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Trusted advisor mindset with the ability to coach hiring managers, influence stakeholders, and deliver customer-focused recruiting solutions.
