Full job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Talent Advisor - Southern Indiana to join our Cummins Inc. team in Columbus, IN .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and secure top talent for critical business needs.

  • Develop strategic sourcing approaches that build diverse and sustainable talent pipelines.

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to deliver efficient, high-quality hiring outcomes.

  • Drive data-informed recruiting decisions through analysis of key performance metrics and market insights.

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies, government regulations, and hiring standards.

  • Coach and influence stakeholders throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle to improve hiring effectiveness.

  • Strengthen Cummins’ employer brand by contributing to talent attraction and recruitment marketing initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts that enhance recruiting performance and candidate experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex recruitment initiatives while balancing the needs of candidates, hiring managers, and business stakeholders.

  • Strong talent sourcing, candidate assessment, and selection expertise with a focus on delivering timely, high-quality hiring outcomes.

  • Exceptional communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills that enable effective collaboration across diverse teams and audiences.

  • Proficiency in leveraging data, analytics, and business insights to drive decisions, measure success, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Preferred experience recruiting within unionized environments, including knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and associated hiring practices.

  • Ability to assess candidates using structured selection methodologies while ensuring compliance and objective decision-making.

  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies to manage candidate pipelines, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

  • Skilled in developing and executing external talent sourcing strategies that attract diverse candidate populations.

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated success applying data analytics and reporting to identify trends, measure recruiting effectiveness, and support business decisions.

  • Effective at leading with urgency, adapting to changing priorities, and managing multiple recruitment initiatives simultaneously.

  • Commitment to fostering inclusion, valuing diverse perspectives, and delivering a positive candidate experience.
