Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer II

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (Onsite)

COMPENSATION: $44 - $54 HOURLY

Role Overview

A position is available for a Software Development Engineer to act as a first-level support and development resource for production software application issues related to merchandising applications. This role involves developing solutions that will have a direct impact. The ideal candidate is interested in a software development career and seeks to expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop monitoring solutions.

Troubleshoot, debug, and implement fixes for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA).

Perform SQL queries to support system analysis.

Improve systems that gather metrics on features.

Update, track, and resolve technical challenges.

Work alongside development on corporate and divisional software projects.

Update and enhance current software.

Automate support processes and document systems.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree is required.

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience is required. The candidate must be detail-oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have organizational skills, and be able to work independently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Coding skills in Perl, C/C++, and/or Java.

Technical skills including Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, and UNIX/LINUX.
