Purchasing Specialist

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a purchasing specialist to join our food manufacturing client in Waller, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities by coordinating with vendors, issuing and tracking purchase orders, sourcing competitive pricing, and maintaining accurate purchasing documentation. The specialist will also assist with invoice discrepancies, cost tracking, reporting, and general operational support.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, buyer, or similar experience
• NetSuite or similar ERP experience
• Experience creating and tracking purchase orders
• Vendor/supplier coordination and relationship management exposure
• Experience sourcing pricing and comparing vendor costs
• Ability to review and resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
