Staff Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with the monthly close process. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong general ledger experience and solid Excel skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, and Advanced Excel skills are ideal. In office role, work from home on Friday's.

• Key Responsibilities:Provide general ledger support, including account analysis and reconciliations.

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.

• Assist with the month-end close process and related accounting activities.

• Support balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Help ensure the integrity of accounting data and compliance with internal procedures.

• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

• Utilize Advanced Excel for analysis, reporting, and data management.

Requirements

• Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

• Prior accounting experience in a Staff Accountant or similar role preferred.

• Experience with general ledger support, journal entries, and close assistance required.

• Advanced Excel skills ideal, including the ability to work with large datasets, formulas, and reporting tools.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.

• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
