We're seeking a Plumbing Engineer & Supervisor to join our growing Mechanical team. In this role you are responsible for leading the design, coordination, and documentation of plumbing systems for a wide range of building projects while providing day-to-day leadership and mentorship to a team of plumbing designers. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, code-compliant, and innovative plumbing design solutions and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and project managers to support successful project outcomes while fostering professional growth, technical excellence, and a positive, collaborative team environment. In this role you will: Technical Design Leadership Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, medical gas, storm drainage, and specialty systems. Perform plumbing calculations and building load analyses. Select plumbing equipment and develop piping layouts. Create and edit project details, specifications, and construction documents. Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and project workshops. Research design options and present findings and recommendations to project teams. Resolve complex design challenges, including conflicting owner requirements, system selection considerations, and challenging field conditions. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines. Utilize Revit, BIM, and other digital design tools to develop coordinated project documentation. Team Leadership & Work Direction Set priorities, assign work, and align team efforts with project schedules and deliverables. Clarify expectations regarding scope, quality, timelines, and performance. Monitor progress and adjust workloads to meet project commitments.
