What You'll Do

As a Part-Time Cosmetology Instructor, you'll provide engaging instruction and practical training that prepares students for success in the cosmetology profession.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching and demonstrating professional customer intake and consultation procedures.

• Instructing students in hair coloring, chemical services, formulation techniques, application methods, and processing procedures.

• Teaching haircuts, hairstyling, hair removal, barbering, and both basic and advanced nail services.

• Supervising students in a salon environment while promoting exceptional customer service standards.

• Guiding students in appointment scheduling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and salon operations.

• Evaluating student performance through practical demonstrations, assignments, and assessments.

• Maintaining accurate student records, attendance, progress, and documentation.

• Creating a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.

• Promoting proper sanitation, safety procedures, and industry best practices.

• Advising and mentoring students as they progress through the program.

• Supporting curriculum development and continuous program improvement.

• Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, techniques, products, and professional standards.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a skilled cosmetology professional who is passionate about education, student success, and the beauty industry.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid Cosmetology License.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of cosmetology techniques, safety practices, sanitation standards, and customer service principles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate hands-on skills.

• Commitment to maintaining a professional, positive, and student-centered learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience.

• Experience working in a salon environment with a variety of beauty services.

• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and appointment scheduling software.

• Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

• Ability to motivate and engage learners.

• Knowledge of current beauty industry trends, products, and techniques.

• Passion for helping students build confidence and prepare for professional careers.
