Standard Job Description

The duties of this title will require expert level craftsmanship and artisan skills within the scope of work. The candidate will possess advanced level expertise in fundamentals and principles in the larger field. The duties will frequently require application of intricate knowledge, expertise, and experience in multiple specializations. The candidate will serve as a key mentor and team development professional for groups and teams of employees of lessor experience. The candidate will regularly participate in planning and development along with problem identification & resolution. The candidate will utilize complex teamwork, keen written and verbal communication skills, and coordination skills for executing plans.

Basic Qualifications

Hand tools, including electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic; precision measuring instruments and gauges; special tools and testing equipment; and machine tools such as drill presses, metal brakes & shears, powered sanders, and band saws. Additionally, jacks, dollies, hoists, cranes, fixtures, powered industrial equipment, and tooling aids will be utilized.

Materials: Items common to aviation maintenance, production, and modification. Includes various sheet metals, wood, plastic, micarta, wire, tubing, hard rubber, composites, fluids, lubricants, adhesives, and solvents.

Desired Skills

Demonstrated knowledge & experience in structural principles and characteristics of simple to complex aircraft structural modification, repair, assembly, and maintenance; including all specifications for declaration of flight worthy and returning to service.

Aircraft and system knowledge / expertise in one or more fields of specialization. Competent in the necessary testing equipment and tools related to areas of specialization. Proficient in operational checks, testing methodology, and utilization of aircraft technical guidance.

Demonstrated knowledge for determination of repairable, serviceable, rejectable, condemnable parts and assemblies. Proficient in procedures & methods concerning each of the categories

  • $36.46 - $36.46

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
