------------------------------ NIGHT SHIFT POOL MAINTENANCE ------------------------------ CLOSING DATE: Open until filled PAY RANGE: $14.42 per hour SCHEDULE: Monday thru Thursday and Saturday: 9 pm to 1 am DEPARTMENT: Recreation ------------- JOB SUMMARY ------------- Perform various maintenance and custodial jobs at the Legacy Center swimming facility: - Some work with hazardous materials and small equipment. - Must possess good swimming skills and overall good physical conditioning. - On-the-job training is available. - Work up to 4 hours a day Mon-Thursday and every Saturday. - Responsible for keeping equipment at aquatics facility in good running condition. - Repair or replace worn-out or broken equipment. - Keep the aquatic facilities clean. - Work under the direct supervision of the head maintenance person and aquatic managers. ------------------------------------- RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS ------------------------------------- - Must be 18 years old or older. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Knowledge of mechanical functioning of an aquatic facility preferred or other mechanical experience with the willingness to learn. - Physically fit. - Proficient swimmer. - Good written and verbal skills. - Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, volunteers, and the public. - Pass drug and background check.
