Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a residential vocational training program serving adolescents and young adults (typically ages 16-24). This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting student health, wellness, and success within a supportive educational environment.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 8a – 5p, (1hr lunch) M-F

• Contract Length: 6 weeks with extension possible

• Start Date: Within 2 weeks of offer acceptance

• Interview Process: Qualified candidates will participate in an on-site interview with program leadership and healthcare staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience (school, primary/urgent care/clinic, case management, health education)

• Current BLS/CPR Certification

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with adolescents or young adults

• Emergency response experience

• Medication administration

• Handling behavioral health situations

• Working independently

• Collaboration with providers and multidisciplinary teams

• Managing large caseloads and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and triage evaluations

• Administer medications, immunizations, treatments, and first aid

• Manage chronic health conditions and coordinate follow-up care

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide crisis intervention

• Educate students on health, wellness, and disease prevention

• Maintain confidential medical records and ensure regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and community healthcare providers

• Monitor infection control practices and public health initiatives

• Support behavioral and mental health interventions through interdisciplinary teamwork

• Participate in wellness programs, health promotion activities, and quality improvement initiatives
