Seeking an Agentic AI Engineer for a full-time, onsite opportunity in Dallas, TX (5 days per week onsite). This role is with a venture-backed artificial intelligence startup focused on building autonomous AI systems for the middle market. The ideal candidate will help design and scale AI-powered engineering workflows, leveraging LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, automation platforms, and modern software engineering practices to transform how products are built and delivered.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience building solutions with modern AI and LLM technologies

  • Strong software engineering and systems design experience

  • Experience with AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and development automation

  • Ability to design scalable workflows, evaluation frameworks, and engineering processes

  • Experience implementing software quality controls, testing frameworks, and automation

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience building agentic AI applications

  • Deep familiarity with LLM evaluation techniques

  • Experience developing internal developer platforms or tooling

  • Exposure to AI-assisted software development workflows

  • Startup experience

Daily Responsibilities

  • Build tooling and infrastructure that enables engineers to effectively leverage AI agents

  • Design context management, evaluation, and verification systems for AI-generated code

  • Establish guardrails, testing strategies, and quality controls for AI-assisted development

  • Measure and optimize engineering productivity through automation and analytics

  • Partner with engineering leadership to identify and implement best practices
