This position gives you the chance to guide inmate workers as they complete important manufacturing tasks at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Benner Township. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the daily operations of the SCI Benner Township laundry plant by leading inmate workers in production tasks and maintaining a safe work setting. The role helps ensure smooth manufacturing processes and proper oversight of tools, materials, and workflow. As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will perform the following duties: 1. Inmate Training: Teach production methods, safe equipment use, and proper work practices 2. Workplace Safety: Maintain a secure environment, conduct searches, and oversee tool and supply control 3. Production Monitoring: Use SAP to track orders, materials, shipping, and purchasing needs 4. Process Evaluation: Review production records, assess workflow, and recommend equipment or process improvements 5. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. 3. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. 4. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. 5. **Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,036.00 (before taxes). 6. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: 1. Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or 2. An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or 3. An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services. Other Requirements: 1.
