Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to guide the accounting function in Mira Loma, California. This role is responsible for delivering timely financial results, maintaining accurate records, and creating dependable reporting that supports business performance. The position works closely with leadership to strengthen controls, refine accounting workflows, and help build a team and structure that can support continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily accounting activities and ensure transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and in accordance with company policies.

  • Manage the month-end close cycle, coordinating schedules, reviews, and reconciliations to produce timely and reliable financial statements.

  • Oversee general ledger integrity by reviewing journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare and present financial reports that provide leadership with clear insight into operating results and key business trends.

  • Partner with executive stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support informed decision-making.

  • Establish, monitor, and enhance internal controls to reduce risk and promote compliance across accounting processes.

  • Lead audit readiness efforts by coordinating documentation, responding to external audit requests, and supporting a smooth review process.

  • Develop and mentor accounting staff, setting performance expectations and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through accounting automation and system enhancements where they add value to accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Demonstrated experience leading accounting operations, including ownership of close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger management.

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and financial transaction review.

  • Background supporting external audits and maintaining documentation that meets reporting and compliance standards.

  • Proven ability to improve accounting procedures, strengthen controls, and drive process efficiency.

  • Experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Industry experience in 3PL, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or a related operational setting is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Acumatica, Paycom, or comparable accounting and payroll platforms is preferred.
