About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company with more than 80 years of industry experience to identify an experienced Account Manager to join its growing team. This organization has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-standing customer relationships.

This is a newly created position driven by company growth, offering an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating with internal manufacturing teams, and ensuring orders are executed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate brings prior manufacturing or industrial industry experience combined with a strong background in account management, customer service, or account support.

This is not a traditional outside sales or cold-calling position. We are looking for a relationship-focused professional who thrives on supporting existing customers, solving problems, managing expectations, and collaborating across departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Customer Account Management & Support

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for an assigned portfolio of customers, providing consistent communication and exceptional service.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding business needs, anticipating challenges, and delivering timely solutions.
  • Manage daily account activity, including customer inquiries, order updates, service requests, and ongoing account support.
  • Take ownership of customer concerns, coordinating with the appropriate teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen customer partnerships and support long-term account growth.

Manufacturing & Operational Coordination

  • Partner closely with internal manufacturing, operations, and administrative teams to support customer requirements and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate customer requests with internal production capabilities, scheduling priorities, and operational timelines.
  • Track order activity, communicate updates, and proactively address potential delays or service challenges.
  • Help bridge communication between customers and internal teams to ensure expectations are aligned and commitments are met.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, processes, and operational capabilities to provide knowledgeable customer support.

Account Administration & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate account records, customer communications, and transaction details within internal business systems.
  • Monitor account activity and customer feedback to identify changing needs and opportunities to improve service.
  • Support internal initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and account retention.
  • Participate in customer meetings and occasional onsite visits, with approximately 10% travel required.

Qualifications & Experience Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management, customer account support, inside sales, sales coordination, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production-based environment is required.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships, respond to account inquiries, and provide ongoing support throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Experience collaborating with internal operations, production, or fulfillment teams to coordinate customer requirements and resolve challenges.
  • Strong understanding of order management, customer service processes, and the importance of meeting customer expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments and customer accounts.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday and travel approximately 10% as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
  • Company-paid life insurance and AD&D coverage
  • Short-term disability benefits and optional long-term disability coverage
  • Additional voluntary life insurance options
  • Telehealth and virtual healthcare services
  • Career advancement and professional growth opportunities
