Job Description

The DC Shop Supervisor supervises repairs/inspections of equipment according to department policies and applicable laws. This position supervises assigned technicians work assignments, and performs technical inspections, operational procedures, technical training, and safety operations/procedures for the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, direct, and appraise work.

  • Address equipment complaints and resolve problems.

  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.

  • Manage shop operations in compliance with the applicable unionized labor agreement(s).

  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's Degree, preferred

Experience:

  • Experience and/or training in equipment maintenance, preferred

  • Leadership experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required

Work Hours:

  • Schedule may vary depending on Service Center location.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal (0%-25%)

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.

  • Variable compensation is included.

In accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the starting pay for this position ranges between $64,000.00 and $74,000.00 annually but will be negotiated at the time of offer DOE.
