Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Data Governance Analyst to support a large enterprise data transformation and migration initiative within the Filtration and Separation Division (FSD) of a global life sciences organization. This individual will serve as a key member of the Data Governance organization and will be responsible for driving data governance outcomes across the division while supporting the migration of data from a recently acquired business into the company's enterprise application ecosystem. The environment is highly complex, with data being migrated across more than 100 applications and business systems. This person will partner closely with both business and technical stakeholders to understand how data moves throughout the organization, establish governance standards, improve data quality, and ensure data is migration-ready. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise data landscapes, experience navigating ambiguity, and the executive presence needed to influence stakeholders and drive decisions across multiple functional teams. This individual will be walking into a relatively greenfield environment and should be comfortable building governance processes, definitions, ownership models, and standards from the ground up. Day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing and profiling data, developing a deep understanding of business processes and data flows, facilitating governance discussions, defining business rules and ownership, supporting remediation efforts, validating migration readiness, and ensuring alignment between business and technical teams. Roughly 20-30% of the role will involve stakeholder meetings and governance discussions, while the majority of the role will be hands-on working within the data landscape, partnering with teams, and driving governance initiatives to completion.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience defining, implementing, and governing data management policies, standards, and principles.
- Strong understanding of complex enterprise data landscapes, including environments with numerous ERP systems (experience supporting 20+ ERP instances preferred).
- Deep knowledge of Product, Item, and Material Master Data and how master data supports key business processes across the organization.
- Ability to work effectively across both business and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable data requirements and solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Product Lifecycle Management (OCPLM) and managing product master data throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW/CDW) environments and understanding how master data integrates across reporting and analytics platforms.
- Experience with Databricks for data integration, transformation, and analytics.
- Experience integrating and managing master data across Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
