What Youll DoAs a Junior Estimator, you will work side-by-side with our Senior Estimating team to build accurate, competitive, and winning bids. - Quantity Takeoffs: Perform precise digital takeoffs (concrete, structural steel, finishes, MEPs) using industry-leading software. - Subcontractor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with the South Florida subcontractor market. Solicit bids, ensure scope coverage, and qualify proposals. - Bid Management: Assist in preparing comprehensive bid packages, organizing project specifications, and managing the invitation-to-bid process. - Site Visits and Pre-Bid Meetings: Attend local job site walk-throughs to understand logistical constraints and project scopes firsthand. What We Are Looking For - Experience: 1-3 years of estimating or field experience within commercial construction (General Contracting experience preferred). - Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (equivalent field experience considered). - Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Edge, or ProEst) and MS Excel. - Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the South Florida construction market and subcontractor landscape is a major plus. - Attributes: A sharp eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a competitive drive to help our team win projects.
